Our firm provides a management service to grant making trusts who award grants to charities and other organisations in the third sector
Our service is tailored to the needs of the trust fund and their trustees and includes the following discrete work elements:
- Development of an easy to follow grant application form
- Use of web-based forms to provide a secure method of submitting applications
- Design and creation of trust’s website setting out the aims of the charitable trust and the criteria for a grant application
- Receipt and acknowledgement of all grant applications
- Review and ranking of grant applications with desktop due diligence including review of applicant’s accounts
- Distribution of applications to the trust fund trustees for their review and consideration
- Convening meetings of the trustees, attending and recording a minute of the decisions reached
- Preparation of award letters and payment of the grants awarded
- Monitoring of grants awarded and distributing update report to the trustees
- Liaising with the investment manager regarding the trust fund investment portfolio and the investment performance and reporting this to the trustees
- Liaising with the auditor regarding the preparation of annual statutory accounts and the filing of these with the regulator (OSCR)
