David Nicholls

I entered the accountancy profession at the end of 2009 when I began working with Brett and studying in the evenings for a qualification with ACCA. Prior to that, I was a team leader in the commercial securities department of a large law firm.

I completed my accounting exams in December 2014 and became a member of ACCA at the beginning of 2015. This meant the end of studying on the weekends and evenings which was welcome news to my wife Elaine and two young children Max and Merida.

I cycle to as many clients as possible and try to use my bike as my main mode of transport. In 2015 I restored an old Dawes Galaxy (1979) at the Bike Station with the help of their Fix Your Own Bike (FYOB) service. She is a thing of great beauty and until April 2017 hung on my kitchen wall.

As well as spending time with family and friends and generally being outside, I play badminton once a week and am always keen to find new people to join a weekly game at Scotstoun. Email badminton@bnassociates.co.uk for a game!
